COVID-19 UPDATES & RESOURCES
Jesus said, “I did not come to be served, but to serve” (Matt. 20:28).
In another moment, after washing the Disciples’ feet, He revealed His true heart. Though God, though the King of all Kings, He chose to be the ultimate servant and then challenged (actually commanded) the disciples (and now us) to go and do the same (John 13:12-17).
For years, we have both preached and prepared to be a catalyst for helping our community get back on its feet in the event of a major disaster. Well, that moment is here. That moment is now. And so, in this immediate season, our church will remain outwardly focused on the needs of the people around us. We will continue to seek substantial, vital ways to help people, families, schools, local businesses and other ministries get back on their feet, first! We are already doing that in incredible ways and will commit to doing ever more! So, rather than seeking to ‘go’ to church right now, we will seek more and more ways to ‘be’ the church, helping our community get back on solid ground – practically, financially, emotionally, and of course, spiritually.
“Small deeds, done with great love, will change the world.” – Mother Theresa
Let’s be a people who do countless small deeds with great love right now! Let’s be a tangible catalyst for love, kindness, selflessness, and joyful sacrifice right now. Let’s be a people who strive to reinvigorate our community, not just ourselves right now. And above all, let’s be a people who refuse to “go back to normal”, rather striving to grow in our own character and to become more and more like Jesus, for our sake and His glory!
Yes, we will certainly reopen our campus, but in due time. For now, we remain focused on a mission bigger than ourselves!
Humbly & respectfully,
Pastors – Michael White & Chris Parker
Elders – Paul Sheffield, Michael Natzic, Sean Matlock, Lonnie Siebert, Jeremy Wright, Kyle O’Dell, Jonathan Olson, David Burks, & Mike Benson.
